AGRI Farm to School Full Tray Grant

Applications accepted until 4 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2021. Apply through online application system.

AGRI Farm to School Grants support Minnesota school districts that want to process and serve Minnesota agricultural products. The First Bite Mini Grant is intended to be an intentional learning process for school districts that have little to no experience with local procurement as part of a Farm to School programing.

Schools with a well-established Farm to School program should apply for the AGRI Farm to School Full Tray Grant.

Eligible Projects

Projects must focus on intentional, high-impact Farm to School efforts that highlight local food. These may include but are not limited to:

  • Great Lakes Apple Crunch
  • Local food taste test
  • Farm to School Month October Meal with local food features
  • Minnesota Thursdays
  • Lunch with a farmer

Funding for these programs comes from the Agricultural Growth, Research, and Innovation (AGRI) Program (Minnesota Statute 41A.12).
