The Good Acre Virtual Farm to School Food Forum
This virtual forum will feature breakout sessions in which smaller groups of participants from school districts across the state will have a chance to share their successes and challenges in implementing Farm to School efforts in the midst of the pandemic.
The webinar will be hosted by The Good Acre and led by Carrie Frank, Food and Nutrition Director at Dover-Eyota Schools and President-Elect of MSNA, and Barb Schank, Director of Nutritional Services at Waconia and SNDM Chair. Special guest speakers will include Commissioner of Agriculture Thom Peterson and Commissioner of Education, Mary Cathryn Ricker. You’ll also hear from the MN Department of Agriculture’s Helen Schnoes who will be sharing how MDA is supporting farm to school efforts with new funding opportunities.

CEU credits are available to those who register and attend.

Visit Goldenrust Farm near Dover, Minnesota. Meet farmer Jessica Desens, who along with her family raises chickens, beef cattle, pigs, and sheep on a 40 acre farm.

Deer Lake Orchard is a family run apple orchard located outside of Buffalo, MN. The orchard grows over 28 varieties of apples and provides apples to the Buffalo Hanover-Montrose school district.
