ISD #196 participated in a Schwan’s “Change the World” Fight Against Hunger campaign.

ISD # 196 Rosemount, Eagan, Apple Valley school district participated in the “Change our World” Fight Against Global Hunger campaign teamed up by Schwan’s. We left it up to each individual school as to how the food and nutrition services manager wanted to present the collection method of change to their principal. Some schools decided against doing any collection for a variety of reasons, but we had great participation from 11 schools. Overall total collection for donation was $1853.52. This money goes directly to the Global Child Nutrition Foundation, which is committed to eliminating childhood hunger across the globe. Each school received a large laminated map of the world for the students to use in identifying the areas of our world that are in need of sustainable school nutrition programs.
