The President's Award
for Exceptional Accomplishmentis an award which recognizes
those outstanding Chapter Presidents who exemplify extraordinary
leadership.
The purpose of the award is to
recognize those chapters -- and their leaders -- that have
made the extra effort and gone the extra mile to achieve
excellence in three areas: membership development and retention,
professional development, and an outstanding chapter initiative.
The award will be judged using the following criteria:
Excellence
in Membership Development and Retention
1. Increased number of new chapter
and MSNA/SNA members by at least two (2) new members, while
encouraging/promoting the retention of current members (goal
should be 85% retention - take September membership number
and divide by May membership number). Provide the names
of at least 2 new * MSNA/SNA members. (*must be a new member
or a member who let their membership lapse for at least
1 year.)
2. Successful participation in
the One-Day Membership Drive or the March Madness Membership
Drive.
Excellence
in Professional Development
1. Offer professional development
training programs (continuing education or specialized training)
in the areas of sanitation and nutrition, at Chapter Meetings.
The chapter must offer a class in both subjects.
. Identify at least one individual
from the chapter who was a "first timer" ”at
the state conference in Duluth.
Outstanding Chapter Initiative
1. Demonstrate one successful,
original initiative completed by the chapter that results
in enhancement (image or public awareness) of school foodservice
and nutrition programs or advances the chapter or the state
