AWARDS
SNA/MSNA recognizes and values members who have contributed to school food service and nutrition programs. We want to bring you awards that you can work towards receiving, or have already qualified for. It is our hope that you will take advantage of the award programs to get the recognition you deserve.
Minnesota Awards:
SCHOLARSHIPS
MSNA will provide funds annually to members pursuing educational opportunities. Funding is supported by the efforts of the Silent Auction baskets provided by the Chapters at the Annual Conference. Individual scholarships are valued up to $50 per person.
- The process will deplete funds each year.
- Applications must be made for activities anytime during the fiscal year, 9/1 to 8/31.
- Names will be held for a drawing. Twenty (20) applications will be picked on 12/1. Any remaining applications will then be put back into a drawing with other additional applications received. We will then draw for any remaining monies on 5/1 until monies are depleted.
- Applicant awarded funds will be notified. A letter of denial will be sent to applicants once funds are depleted.
- A check will be made out to the awarded individual upon proof of education units completed (i.e., certificate or verification transcript) and proof of payment towards education.
- Winners of scholarships may be publicized in the Processor Newsletter.
Scholarship Criteria
- Must be employed as a School Food Service Professional
- Must be a member of SNA/MSNA
- Can be used for any workshop, certification training, conference sponsored by SNA/MSNA or other units of education CANNOT be used towards certification renewal application fee -- only for educational clock hours.
